His journey, his story
Olivier BaroinHigh Jewelry

Born in 1968, Olivier Baroin entered the Haute Ecole de Joaillerie (BJOP) through a competitive exam in 1983 and obtained his jeweler's diploma. He started working in a workshop at the age of 18 and simultaneously took art history courses to become an antique dealer.
In 1998, he settled in the 16th arrondissement of Paris as an antique jewelry dealer. Where in his workshop, he only creates commissioned pieces and specializes in antique jewelry.

The guarantor of a singular oeuvre

By 2001, he became an expert in antique jewelry. Passionate about Suzanne Belperron's work, he acquired in 2008—not only the personal effects of the designer—but also the entire collection of archives rediscovered in her apartment, including her appointment books kept daily from 1937 to 1974.
On September 23, 2008, Suzanne Belperron's archives were the subject of a private deed of transfer — registered in Versailles on October 1, 2008 — by which the last universal legatee appointed Olivier BAROIN to ensure, among other things, « […]the future of the expertise of all the work created by Madame Suzanne Belperron».
This is how the first monograph on the artist came to be. Born from the desire to make this discovery accessible to as many people as possible.

La Golconde, a unique and preserved place

In 2013, Olivier Baroin moved to the Galerie de la Madeleine at 9 Place de la Madeleine in Paris under the name "La Golconde." In this space dedicated to antique jewelry, the spirit of Suzanne Belperron lingers.

Auction sales
An exclusive expertise
Now recognized as "the specialist of Suzanne Belperron," Olivier Baroin dedicates himself to authenticating the artist's pieces for international auction houses. His expertise has enabled him to facilitate the auction sales of the most prestigious collections of the designer's jewelry.

Traceability and Authentication

The traceability of clients and orders is of paramount importance. Especially since contemporary techniques make it easy to copy jewelry today.
An aesthete and a woman of honor, both brilliant and discreet, Suzanne Belperron had only one motto: «my style is my signature.» The discovery of her archives now allows for the definitive authentication of her creations.
