One Man One passion

Born in 1968, Olivier Baroin entered the Haute Ecole de Joaillerie (BJOP) through a competitive exam in 1983 and obtained his jewelry diploma. He started working in a workshop at the age of 18 and concurrently pursued courses in art history to become an antique dealer.
In 1998, he settled in the 16th arrondissement of Paris as a jeweler-antique dealer. In his workshop, he only creates commissioned pieces and specializes in antique jewelry.

An iconic figure of modern jewelry

After winning the first prize at the School of Fine Arts in Besançon in 1918, Madeleine Suzanne Vuillerme began her career as a model designer, joining Jeanne Boivin who hired her in 1919 to succeed her deceased husband.
Thirteen years later, Suzanne, now Madame Jean Belperron and co-director of the House since 1923, grew tired of seeing her image reflected in René Boivin's mirror. In February 1932, she resigned, leaving an indelible mark behind her.

According to rumor, Suzanne Belperron had burned her archives: it was just a legend...
Discovered by Olivier Baroin in December 2007, her personal belongings lay dormant in an apartment located at the foot of Montmartre hill, which had remained closed since her death in 1983.

A place, a spirit

« La Golconde » opens at the heart of Paris, hidden from view in a small, discreet passage connecting Place de la Madeleine to Rue Boissy d'Anglas. This unique place is the lair of Olivier Baroin, a jeweler.
It is there that he offers vintage jewelry from Cartier, Boivin, Boucheron, Chaumet, Poiray, and Van Cleef to vintage enthusiasts. These well-known names are alongside more discreet figures highly sought after by collectors worldwide, such as Jean Desprès and Janesich.
